About Emily Vincent

Emily Leigh Vincent is a versatile and passionate dancer originally from Cape Town, South Africa. She later relocated with her family to the Isle of Man in the United Kingdom, where her formal dance journey began through training with The Royal Academy of Ballet. This early foundation instilled in her a strong technical base and a deep appreciation for discipline, artistry, and storytelling through movement.

After moving to Florida, Emily continued to expand her training, immersing herself in a wide range of dance styles. It was there that her love for movement in all its forms truly flourished. From classical foundations to contemporary and commercial styles, Emily has developed a well-rounded skill set that allows her to adapt seamlessly across genres. Her versatility and ability to quickly adjust to new environments and creative demands remain some of her greatest strengths as a performer.

Emily has had the opportunity to dance and train internationally, experiences that have shaped her artistry and broadened her perspective on global movement styles and performance culture. She is deeply inspired by the universal language of dance and dreams of continuing to perform across the world, collaborating with artists from diverse backgrounds.

Before finding a passion for theater, Emily was actively involved in the competitive dance world, where she honed her performance presence, precision, and work ethic. She was able to practice precision jazz with working Rockettes, attend the Martha Graham Teen intensives, and train with Stacey Tookey and more at Camp Protégé.  This competitive background laid the groundwork for her successful move into musical theater, where she was able to thrive both as a dancer and a storyteller.

Emily recently led a production of Spring Awakening in the role of Wendla, showcasing her ability to bring emotional depth and authenticity to the stage. Her additional theater credits include Grease, Newsies, Holiday Inn, Mamma Mia, Les Misérables, and 9 to 5, reflecting her range and commitment to musical theater performance.

Throughout her career, Emily has worked with esteemed choreographers such as Anthony Burrell, Keenan Cooks, Marcus Allan Cobb, Jessica Franco, Prince Nii, Lawrence Alexander, Lloyd Mayor, and Bailey Callahan. These collaborations have further refined her artistic voice and strengthened her adaptability within both commercial and theatrical settings.

Emily holds dual citizenship in the United States and the United Kingdom and hopes to pursue professional opportunities in both countries in the future. She is currently graduating with the Class of 2026 from The Boston Conservatory at Berklee, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Commercial Dance, where she continues to grow as a dynamic and dedicated performer.
